CANCELLATION,RETURN & EXCHANGE
By initiating a request for purchase/return/refund or exchange of Product(s), you agree to be bound by the terms contained in this Policy without any modification.
Did you receive a wrong, damaged, defective product(s) or your product is lost in transit or you got the product(s) with missing parts or you did not like the product you purchased? No worries, our support & operations teams are here to assist you in the best possible manner. Our goal is to provide customers with outstanding products and services.
It is advisable to shoot the video of product at the time of unpacking after you receive the product from our courier service so that any claim for damage/defect issues can be resolved with help of video with concerned team. While shooting the video, kindly ensure to capture the tax invoice as well as the time stamp of the video along with serial number, outside label information in the beginning to make sure the authenticity.
Returns:
Return of any Product, shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:

Return can be requested by the customer based on his/her choice, with no specific conditions applied. However, the customer agrees and undertakes to pay a re-stocking fee of 15% on the invoiced MRP for return of the product(s) found in a fit condition by the Company. Further, the customer also agrees to bear the courier charges in case of sending it back to White Teak location. In case the product is wrong, damaged, defective product(s), White Teak will additionally reimburse the amount of courier charges.

The acceptance of the Product for return shall be conditioned on passing the quality investigation by White Teak. Refund approval or rejection depends upon the investigation carried out by concerned team.

A return request must be raised within 7 days of delivery of the product to the customer. Products must be returned in their original packaging unaltered and unused with the price tags, barcodes, labels, user manual, and warranty card intact along with a copy of the invoice, as applicable, within 3 days from raising the return request.

The Product for which return request is raised should be in unused condition and it must not have been installed. The returnable product should be in intact condition. The return should include the original packaging, labels and accessories, if any. The Product(s) should be free of any wear and tear. The returned products are subject to inspection by White Teak.

As per company policy, minor defects on products do not qualify for returns or exchanges.

Return Process where White Teak store is available: i) Customers can drop the product at the nearest White Teak store. Post-inspection, we will accept the return. Return request must be made within 7 days of delivery. The product should be returned within 7 days from the date of the delivery.

Return Process where White Teak store is not available: i) Customers in remote areas need to return the product to the nearest warehouse/store at their expense. ii) If the product is damaged, the customer is responsible, and we request them to retrieve it from the delivered location. Customer bears the courier charges in case of returns effected through couriers.

In case of an order with multiple products, customer may raise a request for partial return. However, partial return does not mean a single product returned in different parts.

Any products returned in a damaged condition including but not limited to physical internal or external damage, electrical circuit damage, scratches or abrasions etc will not be refunded. The customer will have to pick up the damage product in case he/she needs the product back. After necessary quality inspection and on satisfactory outcome, White Teak will issue a credit note within 7 days of receipt of the product for an amount equivalent to the value of the returned product less Re-stocking fees of 15%, and the same can be used only within 180 (one hundred and eighty) days from the date of credit note. Any lapse of the above period will render the credit note invalid.

Provisions of Refund Policy mentioned below will be applicable and be read in conjunction with this section.
Exchange:
In order to exchange a damaged/defective/wrong product, you are required to comply with the below mentioned conditions:

The Product for which exchange request is raised, should be in unused, unaltered condition and it must not have been installed. The returnable product should be in intact condition. The return should include the original price tags, barcodes, labels, user manual, warranty card intact along with a copy of the invoices in original packaging and with accessories, if any. The Product(s) should be free of any wear and tear. The returned products are subject to inspection by White Teak before initiating exchange.

In case the exchanged product is of a higher cost, customer agrees to make payment of the incremental cost first to White Teak in order to be eligible for such exchange. In case of the exchanged product is of a lower cost, the customer will get a credit note or refund at the discretion of White Teak. Such credit note will be valid for a period of 180 (one hundred and eighty) days from the date of issuance of the credit note.

Customer is required to notify White Teak customer service by email at help@whiteteak.com of receipt of a damaged/defective/incorrect product within 24 hours of delivery to you. If you are unable to do so within 24 hours, White Teak shall not be held liable for the failure to replace the order.

On receiving your request, White Teak shall verify the authenticity and the nature of the request and if White Teak is convinced that the request is authentic and has merits, White Teak will initiate the process for exchange which shall be further subject to quality inspection by its technician.
White Teak will arrange pick-up of the damaged/defective/incorrect Product through its logistics partner for locations where White Teak has its physical stores. If White Teak is unable to do so, White Teak will notify you regarding the same and you will be required to dispatch the product using a reputed courier in your respective area within one day from receipt of such notice. Courier/ freight charges may be reimbursed by White Teak to the customer in such case, as is determined by White Teak.

Once the product is received by White Teak, the exchanged new product will be dispatched/provided to the customer within 3-15 days depending upon the location of the customer and stock availability.
Cancellation:
- An order cannot be cancelled once confirmed by White Teak. You can only return or modify an order (with products of the same or more value) within 24 hours of order placement, provided the order has not been shipped by White Teak.
- If you want to return or modify your order (within 24 hours of order placement) before the order has been shipped, please call the customer service number 1800-1030054 or please send us an email at help@whiteteak.com with the product details (name, color, price, size).
- If you have an account with us, please cancel the order from your 'My Orders' Page, else, drop us an email at help@whiteteak.com. Kindly note that 15% of the fees towards restocking will be applicable in such case.
Refunds:
- Refund is only initiated at the discretion of White Teak, when the customer returns a product, cancels an order or purchases a lower value product or the product is out of stock or for any refund/compensation by White Teak, at its sole discretion basis merits of each matter.
- Refunds shall be made only through the concerned channel by which the payment was received. In no conditions, the cash will be handed over to the customer.
- White Teak will initiate a refund within 5 to 7 days of mutual agreement with the customer provided the transaction is qualifying for such refund condition. However, the same varies according to the respective bank’s /platform's settlement standards for which White Teak is not responsible.
White Teak reserves the right to alter and enforce this Policy at any time without having to serve any prior notice to you. Please note that we may, from time to time, change the terms of the Policy that governs your return, refund or cancellation of an order for Products.
In the event you are found to misuse this policy for unnecessarily returning or cancelling or not accepting the orders placed or claiming refunds frequently, White Teak reserves the right to take appropriate action, as may be deemed necessary.
Terms & Conditions For Customers:
- Bulbs are not included with the purchase of any of our light fittings. Bulbs will be charged additionally.
- Installation is a chargeable service.
- Damages are to be reported within 24 hours from the time of delivery.
- Corrosion due to sustained exposure to the sea breeze, use of harsh chemicals, wet cloth or water on the product surfaces will not be liable for coverage under our warranty.
- Using only a dry microfiber cloth to clean the product is recommended.
- Unless stated otherwise, tax on the invoice is not payable under reverse charges. Supplies under reverse charges are to be mentioned separately.

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- This warranty of White Teak is subject to the below mentioned terms & conditions (“Terms & Conditions”). By signing this document and/or availing the Products and/or Services from White Teak, the customer/ you, (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “your”) hereby accept that you have read and understood the Terms & Conditions and have agreed to abide by the same.
- “Product” shall mean and includes, but not limited to, the decorative electronic items such as chandeliers, floor lamps, table lamps, pendant lamp, wall lights, outdoor lights, vanity lights, Ceiling fans, Architectural lightings, etc., or any other product as may be specified from time to time.
- “Services” shall mean and include installation services provided at the discretion of White Teak.
- We warrant that during this warranty period, if any defect(s) arise in the Product, you need to follow the instructions mentioned in this policy for returning/ exchanging the Product.
- We will, at our discretion, to the extent permitted by law, either (i) repair the Product using either new or refurbished part/s, (ii) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product that is equivalent to the Product to be replaced or iii) issue a refund in deserving instances as per mutual agreement with you.
- Unless stated otherwise, tax on the invoice is not payable under reverse charges. Supplies under reverse charges are to be mentioned separately.
- This limited warranty applies, to the extent permitted by law, to any repair, replacement part or replacement device for the remainder of the original warranty period.
- For manufacturing defects, the warranty covers defects only in the electrical parts of White Teak’s supplied Products. This warranty does not cover any damage or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, modification, improper installation, unauthorized repair, usage of wrong cleaning products or methods, usage in a corrosive environment or at abnormal temperatures, damage in transit at the customer’s end, damage/decay caused by vermin & insects, damage or rusting caused due to dampness, water seepage or poor civil construction at site, damage caused by acts of God such as flood, earthquakes, lightening, fire, etc., or unusual or customary wear and tear and/or for any commercial re-selling of the Product/(s).
- The lights come with a 1-year warranty (Only electrical issues are covered under warranty) on manufacturing defects only. Please keep this invoice safe for the claim.
A. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY:
- a. The warranty period for ceiling fans is 2 (Two) years, for all decorative (in-built) LED products is 2 (Two) years, for all decorative non - LED products is 3 (Three) years, for all Architectural/ Functional lights is 2 (Two) years and for all Home Decors/Artifacts is 2 Years (Two Years). Please note that warranty coverage does not extend to color, paint or electroplating. Warranty shall only be provided upon producing the original invoice at the time of raising a warranty claim.
- b. Bulbs are not included with the purchase of any of the light fittings. Bulbs may be purchased separately by paying additional cost. Therefore, warranty shall not be provided for the bulbs which are used in the Product.
- c. In case of any physical damage that may be noticed in the light fitting(s) of the Product, the customer must report it to White Teak within 24 hours from the time of delivery of the Product. In the event of the customer’s failure to report the same within 24 hours, White Teak shall not be responsible for any redressal or replacement for any reason whatsoever.
- d. Warranty shall not be provided for damage to the Product or any part thereto resulting from corrosion caused due to sustained exposure to the sea breeze, use of harsh chemicals or wet cloth/water on the Product surfaces.
- e. It is recommended to use only dry microfiber cloth for cleaning the Products.
- f. Please avoid installing metal-bodied products in spaces exposed to heavy sea breeze for longer periods of time as it may lead to corrosion and warranty becoming void.
- g. This warranty is not applicable in case of usage of any non-standard fittings or components not provided by White Teak and have been sourced by the customer from open/local market.
- h. It is advisable to shoot the video of product while being installed, so that any claim for damage/defect issues can be resolved with help of video with concerned team. While shooting the video, kindly ensure to capture the tax invoice, time stamp of video as well as serial number, outside label information in the beginning to make sure the authenticity.
- i. The warranty of the Product becomes void, in case customer installs the same at his end through itself and/or any local technician in non-standard manner.
B. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF INSTALLATION AND USAGE:
- a. The customer should ensure to have all the tools in place including but not limited to ladder/scaffolding and the required electrical plug points. In case any of the above are not available, the customer needs to do provide it at his sole costs and efforts.
- b. White Teak technicians will not be able to initiate the installation of Product without the available plug points/electric points. In case of White Teak Technician is providing an installation service and if the customer location has any electricity or any other issues and resultant damage takes place to a Product and/or Service, White Teak shall not be responsible for the same and it may lead to warranty being void at White Teak’s discretion.
- c. In case, installation of any product requires drilling, the same shall have to be arranged by the customer before visit of the technicians of White Teak for installation.
WARRANTY SHALL BE VOID IN THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:
- 1. Normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
- 2. Damage due to exposure to excessive water conditions, including but not limited to continuous dripping /water leakage / dampness/ water seepage due to poor civil construction or for any other reason.
- 3. Improper cleaning or cleaning with coarse cloth or cleaning practices including but not limited to the use of bleach, alkali, acid cleaners, dry (powder) cleaners or any other abrasive cleaners or the use of metal or nylon scrubbers on the Product.
- 4. Fading of finish / coating due to exposure to sun.
- 5. Damage caused due to exposure to acids, chemicals, table salt, harsh cleaners like phenyls, etc., or due to application of undue force on the Product.
- 6. Damage to the outer finish of the Product caused due to acid fumes arising when the tiles or floors are cleaned with cleaning agents which contain acids or chemicals.
- 7. Damage caused by white ants/ termites and/or growth of fungus on the Product resulting from excessive dampness and poor ventilation in the place where the Product is installed.
- 8. Installation and usage of Product in a corrosive environment or at abnormal temperatures usage for non-domestic purposes, damage in transit during any movement of the products done by the customer.
- 9. Damage caused by acts of God such as flood, earthquakes, lightening, fire, etc.
- 10. Cases where the Product is installed, tampered, repaired, or serviced by a person other than White Teak’s authorized service representative.
- 11. Misuse or negligence in using the Product not in accordance with the directions and instructions as provided by White Teak.
LIMITATION:
- To the extent permitted by law, the warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties and remedies, and we specifically disclaim all statutory or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and against hidden or latent defects. If we cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranties, then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of this express limited warranty and to repair or replacement service. We are not responsible for direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or under any other legal theory.
- In the event you are found to misuse this policy for unnecessarily returning or cancelling or not accepting the orders placed or claiming refunds frequently, White Teak reserves the right to take appropriate action, as may be deemed necessary.
